ANFA STATEMENT

“‘World leaders, cultivating excellence and collaborating for the future of fingerlimes”

ANFA’s creation
and vision
for the future of
fingerlimes

The need for an industry body to represent our unique Australia native fingerlime growers and commercial interests was born on the realisation and acknowledgement that this fruit that is endemic to Australia was being adopted and appreciated not just in Australia, but across the world. Whilst international growth and marketing is respected, it is considered that Australia are the world leaders in this fruit and as such need to be united and represented.

Whilst Citrus Australia is an extremely successful leading body, it was considered that Australian fingerlimes are a unique branch of citrus. This uniqueness includes its growth and production, disease and pest resistance, nutritional qualities, genetic diversity and most significantly its provenance. This extensive list supports the need for a body that specifically caters to fingerlime production, innovation, research and marketing, and hence ANFA was created.
